Another great year at the TERANG 2026 Projection Mapping Competition, held as part of the George Town Festival by Filamen
Congratulations to our Dasein Digital Media students, Ong Zhi Han & Sim Zi Yi, for winning the Best Use of Canvas Mapping Award with their work, NADI ACUAN!
Their work successfully transformed the Town Hall building into a realistic and immersive 3D visual experience for thousands of audience members.

In Digital Media, we train students not only to learn Motion Graphics, but also to take it beyond the flat screen. Students learn how to apply motion design to projection mapping and immersive media, transforming physical spaces into engaging visual experiences for real-world audiences.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Lecturer Wong Si Ying for her guidance and support throughout the project. Her expertise and mentorship played a vital role in helping the students refine their concept, execution, and presentation to meet professional standards.
Fun fact: Si Ying is also a multiple-award winner of projection mapping competitions, recognised for her skills in motion graphics design. A true legend, like the Penang Char Keow Teow!
